How the ron paul campaign took over WhoWouldTheWorldElect.com
As of today ron paul is clearly the winner here at the WhoWouldTheWorldElect.com poll with more than double the votes of even the second place winner (Barack Obama)
Some will of course ask if it’s faked… If I actually am part of the ron paul campaign, or even if the very resourceful ron paul’ers out there have figured out how to rig the system.
Well let me tell you. All people involved in this are pretty left wing and we have always voted democratic and would not have a chance to vote for ron paul (we can’t vote in the republican primary and voting for a republican over a democrat for presidency would make our left leaning parents pretty sad)
Also the designers of this site work for a couple of forbes 500 company out there so you can bet your dog fluffy that no one has been able to vote twice.
All data is true and provable (we are democrats here… We don’t want to win by ridging the votes)
We wanted the biggest example of people from all over the world, and we seemed to have found it.
Our maketing campaign did center on the marketing means we knew about, which were North American weighted, but one of the people involved in this site actually is a marketing manager that is sent throughout the world by his company to work with different international customers and so makes sure to find out all the places throughout the world where people go to find new sites.
So to conclude, the fact that ron paul is coming in the top 5 surprised no one, but we’ve been VERY surprised that with the helps of all the great ron paul bloggers, and volunteers, that ron paul has completely won this vote.
This vote isn’t over and we’ll see if the other candidate’s campain wake up to this fancy new thing called the “internets” and if they do we’ll see if the massive ron paul following can keep up their landslide.

If you agree with what he says, you should CHANGE PARTIES JUST FOR ONCE! And then vote for him in the primaries! Think about what you said: you “CAN’T” vote for him. That’s crap! Change parties in ‘08 or you’ll never have a free election again. Think about it…
Luckily, here in Minnesota, you don’t have to register for a party.
Re: “would not have a chance to vote for ron paul (we can’t vote in the republican primary and voting for a republican over a democrat for presidency would make our left leaning parents pretty sad)”
depending on the state your in (geopolitical state - not mental state) you may have an open primary where you can vote for either party. Also regarding making your parents sad, better to have sad parents than a sad country, I have always tried to vote my conscience and support the best candidate regardless of party, be they Green, Libertarian, Democrat or Republican. I am an Independent and thus have access to only the creme de creme of the political process, such as it is.
Other campaigns aren’t “awake” to the internet?! That’s a good one. To borrow from Rudy, I’ve heard some pretty absurd explanations…
I can just picture Hillary and Rudy supporters with their abacus’ in hand, looking on in frustration at online poll after online poll.
Might it be possible that Dr Paul supporters simply outnumber other candidates?
ALL Americans whether Democrat or Republican or Independent should be voting the Ron Paul ticket. Why? Ron Paul is for the CONSTITUTION. What does the “Constitution of the United States of America say?” Liberty and Justice for ALL. It means NO special interest groups. It means NO FAVORITES PERIOD. It means ALL Americans together for Ruling OUR governmetn instead of government ruling the people. Why do so many of the wealthy and elite attempt to stop the typical american from being heard in the major media where the media is owned by the rich? It is because Americans have spoken up and with the help of the internet instead of the “tell you who to vote for” rich Media owners finding out who Americans are voting for (and its not Hillary or giuliani) and these rich owners donot like this uprising trend. I am a 30 yr republican voter and can tell you that it is so “Refreshing” to me as well as other voters to not have to vote for the lesser of the 2 evils this election period. I will be seeing you at the voting booth and will be casting my vote for the only authentic republican and american running in this election for president. His name is :
Congressman Ron Paul of Tx. May God Bless America!
- Freedom is popular
- Trust Matters
I think this website is a very interesting display of how the rest of the world view our politicians. I have heard that people in other nations know a lot more about what is happening in the US because their information is not filtered through the Council on Foreign Relations affiliated mainstream media.
Ron Paul is my choice. I am glad to see that people around the world are aware of him, and his committment to Constitutional government.
I am a Ron Paul supporter who just wanted to say “Thank You” for your honest explanation regarding the results of your poll. As an aside: I too have been a “debutante in training” for the Democratic Party as expected by my family. I am a part of the Kennedy clan (my grandmother was Ambrose’s sister) that has held past Democratic power in the State of Maryland.
With this said, I have now become disgusted with the use of the rubber stamp that party affiliation has provided for the kleptocracy that has taken over American politics. We are all kept occupied with all of the “across the isle” bickering as those that claim the chairs on each side of the isle drive us into moral and financial oblivion via their nefarious diddling behind our backs. I feel that our independence from foreign control is now threatened by the monetary policies that have been ingrained and I am sick and tired of watching campaigns like they are automobile advertisements, with one expected to “buy” the candidate with all the best bells and whistles that they claim they will “fund”. The problem is, of course, the fact that we are going broke and further “funding” of pet projects does nothing but pull the dirt in on top of us. We print money like it holds no ramifications and we are now on the precipice of financial ruin. While I doubt that Ron Paul will be able to “save the day”, we will need a level headed and truthful leader to lead us out of the cesspool in which we find ourselves. And we must work our way out without selling us out to the the control of international bankers or the UN.
It is high time we find a leader that we can trust. We don’t always need to agree but we must have the ability to trust. In Ron Paul, I see that leader, and in examining his political and economic stances, I also find myself in a great deal of agreement with this man.
Please, re-examine your thoughts with regards to Party loyalty. And besides…can you think of a better way to foil the Republicans than to place their anathema Ron Paul at the head of their table?
Hey Guys,
I live in Belize; that’s not in your country-list… have we been bad?
What does this poll tell us? That the world is SANE. Ron Paul is the candidate who would bring ALL US forces home, from ALL over the world (not just Iraq and Afghanistan). Ron Paul is the safest choice for everyone, especially in a world on the brink of the unspeakable.
The American empire is dependent upon the criminal fiat money banksters. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who will abolish the Fed, let alone even talk about it! We are going to need an economic genius to get us through what’s coming and Ron Paul is just that. It will not be easy, but we can get through an economic crisis. We CANNOT get through the total loss of our liberties.
I have never voted republican in my life. I have now registered Republican so I can be ASSURED of my right to vote in the primary. States are changing rules, so I’m playing it safe. I want to save my country and to be a peaceful, humble and strong nation, under President Ron Paul.
Thank you for this great poll!
Please vist RonPaul2008.com and donate, today. This is a grassroots funded campaign, and every little bit MATTERS.
Ron Paul is in my opinion the most adaquate candidate of them all.
He vibrates honesty, human values and let hope that the american public understands the importance of electing Ron Paul the next President of the United States.
We are now in times where evil ones that have taken over control of governments be taken out of harms way and let humanity live in peace in a better loving world.
Vote Ron Paul if you truly beleive in Peace and harmony on this planet.
war does nothing but create chaos all around.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for liberty and peace never forget that.
The “Constitution for the United States of America”. Please note, I said “for” not “of”. The Constitution is FOR the federal government. Please everyone, get a copy of the Constitution and read that line in the Preamble …read the Preamble, “We the People…”, what it is saying, to whom, and by whom and for whom!
This document is FOR the federal government by we the people of these united States –the several sovereign states, telling the federal government (Legislative, Judicial and Executive) what authority it has and has NOT. The document was established by the several states via the representatives of we the people denoting specific guidelines FOR the federal government! It is THE marching orders TO the federal government.
Ron Paul understands this and wants to return us to our form of government, a constitutional representative republic, that the Framers established for their selves and their posterity! Their posterity is you and I, folks, and we need this rEVOLution to get us on the path that will bring us back to our roots!
All data is true and provable (we are democrats here… We don’t want to win by ridging the votes)
Have you forgotten about JFK and Chicago?
“Might it be possible that Dr Paul supporters simply outnumber other candidates?” Finally someone who isnt claiming it’s just an internet thing, or that Ron Paul supporters are technophiles whereas the other candidates have the more mature supporters who do not know how to use a ‘puter. Yes, actually it is more than possible, it is reality. There is a very good reason why he has more supporters, the first and foremost is he gave up his pride and is telling the truth. He is the first candidate to blatantly speak the truth. When someone is telling the truth, you can ask him/her other questions that branch off from the subject he/she is talking about and you will get a quick and concise answer.
When a person is lying and you ask him/her a question that branches off from their main topic you will get a long pause followed by a few umms and then a convoluted answer, does that seem familiar when you watch the other candidates try to answer a question they weren’t expecting? Im a democrat, my family has always been democrats. That is not stopping me from voting for who I think is right, which happens to be Ron Paul in this case. I not only support him because he is telling the truth though, I support him because he is right. He will do a lot of good for our country the minute he is in office, these changes will be made immediately as promised. The first best change is the fact that he will abolish the Federal Reserve.
Those small groups everyone knows exist that control a lot of what is going on especially foreign policy will no longer have a leg to stand on because their monolopy over the creation of money will be gone. Our currency will once again be worth something, it will be backed by silver/gold. Inflation which most call the hidden tax will be null and void because we wont have the Federal Reserve pumping out endless loads of money that are not backed by anything other than debt. The middle class will expand, the upper middle class will move up to the upper class. The average citizen will have more wealth than he/she ever thought he or she would have. Now Im not saying everyone will be rich, dont get me wrong, its just that their money will have more buying power. Most wont have to struggle so hard or live paycheck to paycheck and once again the average person could actually set a retiring date and be able to stick by it and know that their hard earned savings will be worth the same or more by the time they retire. There is just so many reasons why the average person should want him president, these are just a small few. Regards,
T.L.
I’ve tried to like Ron Paul. I really have. Now I’ll try again, after seeing the results of these votes.
But I have one big problem with him. There was some legislation on net neutrality that was proposed. The details of the legislation don’t matter here. Suffice it to say, it’s about regulating the broadband carrier market … it wasn’t previously deemed necessary but some CEOs (like Ed Whitacre) started making remarks along the lines of “it’s not fair that big internet companies get rich using my pipes. we need a way to get more money from them, beyond the existing mechanisms”.
Obama supports it and can explain why. Here’s the trick. Ron Paul voted against it. Why? Because - get this - although he admits he basically doesn’t understand the issues (they aren’t hard), it’s regulation of business, and therefore by definition must be bad.
This sort of reasoning is something I’d expect from a 6 year old. I don’t understand it, but it looks like “rules” so it must be bad?
Paul appears not to understand that a capitalist market, left to its own devices, will happily degenerate into a fascist dictatorship. A well functioning market is in fact just a collection of rules, like not deliberately undercutting your competitor, not having every company in a particular market merge together, not having one company burn down the factory of their only competitor etc …. we NEED regulation to prevent companies screwing us over in the name of profit.
Paul doesn’t recognise that, which makes him dangerously naive. I’m worried that he seems to have so much support.
It is obvious that by tremendous amount of financial contributions that Ron Paul has flowing into hi campaign coffers that big business and special interests really like him.
So I have to say that we the people have had enough of this type of coruption that is turning our great country into a second class country.
By the way, what makes him so whiney, must be the female hormones kikking in?
Its not true that you can’t vote more than once. That’s naive thinking. I voted thrice within 3 minutes after reading that claim, just to test its veracity. All I did was log off (from the internet) and delete my cookies everytime I voted. I have a dynamic IP so the IP bar doesn’t work in my case. And the cookies removed all trace from my browser that I had ever voted. I did not want to corrupt the polling in any way, this is just to show you that it can be done. Still, if someone has an overwhelming majority of votes over the others, it also goes on to show that he has a greater number of dedicated followers who would sit and vote again and again - assuming such a thing has taken place. As regards Dr Paul, if you consider the fantastic support he has received on the internet (which is being used by real people donating real money to his candidacy) the results on this website are just indicative of that larger support. Doesn’t really matter if you can vote once or a ten times.
‘let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. let us accept our own responsibility for the future’ - jfk.
to most people not completely numbed and dumbed, or detached from basic human values, integrity and common sense, it is very obvious that only ron paul is eligible for the job. his vast support comes not from ‘big business’ and their propaganda tools, but overwhelmingly from ‘ordinary people’ all across the whole traditional political spectrum.
i have not ‘cast my vote’ on this page. there are tendencies of the kleptocratic and megalomaniac
‘elites’ of the world to implement a global dictatorship, in the guise of ‘democratic empowerment’ of the people; people would be stripped of all their natural, intrinsic, inalienable rights, all ‘human rights’ would be seen as ‘government property’, to be granted or withdrawn at the fancy of psychopathic and sociopathic elitist ‘leaders’, mocking democracy and self determination. these deliberations being the open agenda of influential groups like the cfr and bilderberg, it is not surprising that in this presidential race all but ron paul (?) seem to be controlled in one way or another. in a pseudo-democratic, totalitarian system and its infrastructure, votes could look much like the ones on this page, and i don’t want to participate in anything that might be looked at as a ‘test run’ of what could turn out to be the end of freedom in the guise of liberty, although i don’t doubt the well meaning intentions of those who put this up. i see a strong case not for abolishing, but for strengthening, all checks and balances to restrict excesses of injustice and imbalances. traditionally, the effects of major political decisions made in america with some lag can be seen in europe and other places, and a rise of destructive forces can now be observed.
the installation of the neocon puppet show, and the apathy and corruption that have pervaded vast parts of society and its institutions and have supported it actively or by toleration, is seen as devastating all over the world.
whether ron paul’s wake up call to reconquer america will be enough for the people to understand that it is their freedom that is at stake, the protection of which demands constant vigilance and great efforts, remains to be seen.
Mike, the problem is that we don’t always need regulation. People like Obama can go too far, just as Paul may not go far enough. But after years of increased regulation someone like Paul could remove some of the more unnecessary regulations.
Regarding net neutrality, here is pro neutrality video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-8bokMWido
Here are the problems: 1) people can just switch ISPs 2) some people may not mind if it lowers the cost of the service 3) if the problem got so widespread they everyone knew it was an issue, there would be a huge incentive for an ISP to be neutral
So regulation on this issue isn’t needed. You don’t always have to look to government for an answer. And you may not want to, becuase if the government gets it wrong it may prevent options to customer(such as a cheaper ISP)
Ronald W. Sprague,
Paul donors are just average people. The average amount given is around $100. This isn’t $2000 a plate donation fund raisers. Most of the money is coming without Paul doing any fund raising. The grassroots supporters are doing the organizing. Also, he gets more money from the military than any other republican. In other words, the anti war candidate gets more money than the other republican pro war candidates.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Keep kidding yourselves. I, by the way, just posted a vote for Chris Dodd from Zimbabwe. I felt sorry for him. And glad to be able to contribute to this incredibly scientific poll.
I’ve lived in many of these countries. Good luck finding a libertarian, let alone a pro-life libertarian in Germany. I was in Vienna when the whole city went on strike for a day to protest for pension reform and better benefits. But secretly, I could tell that they were crying out for Mr. Paul’s wisdom.
But hey, it just make you feel all warm inside to pretend that the world agrees with ya. Don’t it just.
In contrast, the International Times Herald:
“Forty-four percent of Germans said that of those running in the primaries, Hillary Clinton would make the best candidate for the presidency; 51 percent of Italians said she will win the presidency.”
“Large numbers of Europeans thought Al Gore could be a credible candidate”
And note, I’m not voting for Hillary. I just think this site is pretty hilarious.
I am and will remain a life long Democrat. However, I will vote for Ron Paul on election day whether he is on the ballot or not. I cannot in good conscience vote for anyone else.
I do understand how things in America “work” though and I realize Dr Paul will never break through into the main stream media. At least not in a positive light. Ron Paul’s core message strikes a chord in “turned off” Americans who btw are the non-voting majority. If the media gave Ron a fair shake and equal coverage I have no doubt whatsoever he would easily win the Presidency. They totally black wall him because he is so very dangerous to their balance of control.
I commend this website for it’s polling but it is slightly ridiculous to state your polls are 100% accurate. As anyone with a shred of intelligence is aware ANY poll is subject to skewed results. You would be better served to state an estimated margin of error for your results and try running the spell check before posting a piece that will no doubt be read by thousands. Professionalism is in the details and if you want to be taken seriously you must always keep this in mind. That being said even with a huge margin of error or skewing Ron Paul is still easily the leader and I thank the creators of this site for spending time and money on such a valuable resource.
Apparently a person can pick any country and vote. An acquaintance of mine pick Sri Lanka, even though he is from the U.S. This is unfortunate. Clearly the numbers can be skewed.
Is this a practical joke? Is there somewhere I can read about your polling techniques at higher than a kindergarten level? This is completely preposterous.
And I don’t mean that politically in any way. Ron Paul is kinda cool. But there is no indication that the results on this website are in any way meaningful. I mean, it’s amazing that you have such a highly trained staff including someone who “actually is a marketing manager that is sent throughout the world by his company to work with different international customers and so makes sure to find out all the places throughout the world where people go to find new sites”, but somehow that doesn’t inspire me to trust your data. Neither does the startlingly irrelevant fact that several of your associates work for forbes 500 companies, which narrows it down to maybe 25-50 million people, including my local wal-mart greeter.
sheesh.
PS can you post the ‘proof’ that these polls are statistically relevant? i don’t care if they’re ‘true’ since i have no idea what that’s supposed to mean. if you do i swear i’ll take it all back.
I find this site to be a useful method of self expression. When i think about freedom and how our eloctoral system allows us project our true beliefs and values internationally, i get very excited when sites like this help us to unlock our true potential as citizens and scholars. Thank you so much, although one thing i wish would be for a write-in addition - i would like to vote for enrico polazzo, who has galvanized the pacific northwest with his progressive, yet toughtful ideals.
I noticed this blog after going into the ron paul forums.
i caught ron paul being interviewed this week by tim russert.
this was after the PBS “NOW” episode that told me that his
internet campaign had the help of a person who had been close
to HOWARD DEAN. those guy fawkes day NOVEMBER 5th monies raised
took politics as usual by storm, for all the media talking
heads were surprised. now IOWA and NEW HAMPHIRE loom! i am
following this all with an interest, and have concluded
that perhaps HUCKABEE is a bishop ussher person, whereas it
seems RON PAUL is more into INTELLIGENT DESIGN. which is cool.
we all needn’t be clarence darrow, however i feel CITIZEN Ron
would spare the older texts of NY state + kansas from oblivion.
the idea of unneccesary expendatures. if the BIG BANG is in
the context of billions of years and perhaps a string theory
quantum spacetime grid, we cannot go back to creationism in
the guise of science, insted we must postion ourselves in
the field politically to accept trillions or billions as
a cosmic answer even though millions to William Jennings Bryan
perhaps was almost a swear word, as was hundreds of thousands.
RON PAUL must be seen as the closest a contemporay candidate
can be to the stance of the GREAT COMMONER, the fellow who
could have won the election of 1896 over his older republican
opponent. the irony is that RON PAUL’s tariff ideas would have
been understood by william jennings bryan and william mckinley.
like dennis kucinich, the ufo spotter… RON PAUL feels our
foreign policy is mismanaged and over extended. mark twain
more than a century ago wrote his WAR PRAYER in a simpler time.
i have to respect RON PAUL for his having given our voters a
clear and cojent choise. i have a vast respect for john mcCain
for what he has given to our nation in terms of service. i
may find myself voting for barak obama in either the next
few weeks into months or mayhap NEXT november, anyway. if i
am in quite a disgruntle mood, i just might vote for RON PAUL…
i would be torn over what i feel Obama can do verses what
RON PAUL feels and stands for. If we go into IRAN and although
i like kucinich, I’m seriously voting for RON PAUL if we are
to be feckless once more, even if john mcCain is a contender,
still. i am torn, as a voter. yet i know i have my choises!
typo above…
postion = position
i respect Ron Paul for not re-wording our texts
via a religious sensibility. for being the upright
constitutionalist who understands James Madison
and John Marshall. we must let science be science,
and science and its theories are driven by the art of
articulating out a experiamental hypothesis that then
is undera scrutiny and testing. a bias blinds one.
wow! ron paul he is a wacked out wierdo he is from the stone age we need the future not the past——– obama 08!!!!!!!!
